ELM STANDARD
Safety

Anchored to the wall. Stable on the floor.

Every Elm Standard cover that's installed locally gets anchored to the wall. Every flat-pack ships with the hardware to do the same. Furniture that tips over hurts kids, and a radiator cover with a child climbing on it is no different.

What's included

Two channels. Same hardware story.

LOCAL INSTALL

I anchor it for you

I anchor your cover to wall studs at the time of install. If your wall isn't drywall over studs — for example, plaster, brick, or a half-wall — I'll let you know what we'll need before installing.

FLAT-PACK

Hardware ships in the box

Every shipment includes wall-anchor hardware sized for standard drywall and stud construction. The included guide walks through installation. If you have plaster, brick, or another wall type, contact me before installing — you'll need different hardware.

From the CPSC
A child is sent to the emergency room every 24 minutes by tipping furniture or a falling television. The most reliable prevention is anchoring.
U.S. CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION

Their recommendations apply to radiator covers as much as any other piece of furniture:

  • 01Anchor furniture to the wall, every time
  • 02Don't store anything attractive (toys, remotes, snacks) on top of the cover
  • 03Keep cords from radiators or TVs out of reach
  • 04Supervise young children in rooms where furniture isn't anchored
When to call me

I'd rather talk through it than have you install something that won't hold.

Anchoring is the price of safe furniture. Every cover gets it.
